Super Stages

The NARA Motorsport Festival features a number of Super Stages with a circus type atmosphere. These stages intend to attract large crowds. Major efforts will be made to insure their popularity, visibility and attendance. Using the official start ramp and other high visibility props, sponsors logos receive public exposure. All Super Stages will have public address systems, food, areas for sponsor promotions, and other amenities. The following are the proposed Super Stages for the rallies.

Start Ceremonies & Super Stages

Tentative- Held on the Redmond Microsoft Campus a 2.4 mile super stage will run at the beginning of the event and at the end of the first day of the rally. Located in a major population center with ample public parking, this campus has it’s own freeway off ramp.

Mt. Baker Super Stages

Last stages of the rally, located close to the Canadian border, Mt. Baker is a 12,000 foot high mountain with a 22 mile paved road to the top. Rally cars will run this stage up, service their cars, and then race down the mountain. This stage offers lots of spectator areas, scenic views, with organizers planning to have a helicopter available for sponsors to view the stage from the air.

Fall City Super Stage

A three mile paved Super Stage will be run in the rural town of Fall City. There is easy accessibility off Interstate 90 for spectators. Immediately following this stage the rally has a major service stop scheduled within four miles in the picturesque town of Snoqualmie (the scene of the popular "Twin Peaks" television series).

Fort Lewis Super Stages

Two Super Stages one gravel and one pavement, are held on Fort Lewis located on the outskirts of Tacoma. The Tacoma area is the second largest population center in Washington. The Army assists the organizers conducting these super stages with some of their really cool "toys".

St. Martin’s College Super Stage

St. Martin’s College is located in Lacy, Washington, outside of Washington’s capital Olympia. The stage is 1.8 miles long with both gravel and pavement sections. This is a traditional stage for the rally and generates large crowds. It is almost always part of the television highlights as the St. Martin’s Monks start the cars!

Olympia Street Stage

A paved three mile stage in the downtown area of Olympia. The stage runs around the State Capitol and around Capital Lake providing great photo opportunities, and, finishes in the local auto dealer mall where a major service area will be setup.

 

Bellingham Super Stage

A gravel stage held in the new Bellingham ORV facility just outside of town. The stage will be 2.4 miles in length and features jumps and water crossings. This is the penultimate stage of the rally, followed by the Mt. Baker Hill Climb super stages.
