Entry Form

The entrant of the car must fill in the Official Entry Form completely as possible.  If the entrant is not an entity (corporation, sole proprietorship, or other business entity) any prize monies won on this event may be subject to taxes as determined by the US Federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which will have a representative at documentation at the day of scrutineering.

Incomplete forms may be returned for additional information.  Entrants will be required to sign a waiver of liability form during documentation.  The 1999 NARA Motorsport Festival operates under a five million-dollar competition insurance policy provided through Layne Associates Insurance.  Participant Accident Insurance by Lloyd’s of London, Liability Insurance by Odyssey RE (London) Ltd., and Excess Liability by Century Surety. All entrants must have road insurance in force on their vehicles during the running of the event.  Proof of this insurance being in effect will be required at documentation.  NARA will provide some assistance to overseas entrants in finding them insurance for their vehicles.

Seeding: Current available national seeding lists will be used as a guideline for issuing car numbers.  FIA graded drivers will be given preference in starting order over non graded drivers.  The organizers, based on available information provided by the driver, will seed drivers not on lists available to NARA.

On day 2 of the event drivers will be started in the finishing order from the day before (with exceptions for very fast cars which may have gone “off” for some time.)  At the start of each leg each car will have a small number placed on the upper left corner of their car number indicating their road position for that leg to assist the organizers in keeping track of the order of cars.  i.e. if you finish 23rd overall your car will carry the number 23 on the upper left corner of the car number for that leg.

No entry will be accepted prior to August 1, 1999.

Start order for the first start will be based on:

1.       Driver Seeding

2.      The competition class hierarchy

3.      Date on which entry was received

Vintage/Classic Rally Car Rally (1987 or older)

Appendix K - plus US production vehicles

While at documentation entrants will be issued some commemorative items to include a special competitors jacket, hat and shirt.  NARA is working on additional items for entrants in the way of airline tickets, Pirelli tires, Hella lighting and other items.  Check the Product Button on this site for more information on the commemorative items

All entrants are invited to partake in Media Day on September 29th (Wednesday).  The place of the media day is yet to be announced.  Members of the media and sponsors will be at media day along with a very large media corps (their to pick up their media jackets!).  This is the entrant’s chance to make it into the extensive coverage of the event.

Entrants will be issued two Motorola I-1000+ phones with activation for their usage during the rally.  It is mandatory that the team report to the organizer any incident during the event.  Should you go off and have an injury immediately contact the organizers to apprise them of the situation.  Should you go off and there are no injuries, you are also required to contact the organizers immediately.  When in contact with your team manager you will be using encrypted communications, which no other entity will be able to be able to listen into.  This assures you that your inter-team communications are completely private.  These phones must be returned to the organizers upon your withdrawal from the event or at the finish of the event.

Any team not returning these phones may be subject to fines or other penalties as determined by the Stewards of the Meeting.  In FIA events ASN’s are bound to uphold the findings of the Stewards of the Meeting.

Entrants will be issued car number panels and other markings as detailed in a driver’s bulletin to be issued on August 1, 1999.
