November 4-7. 1999 The
Club Autosport Chrono. Inc. presents the 13th edition of the RALLYE AUTO
CHARLEVOIX EXPORT "A"; a closed-course professional automobile rally.
Teams entered in the North America and Québec rally championships vie in
various timed stages that fans can watch from many spectator points in many of
the region's villages. Our event will
be held in the picturesque Charlevoix country side. Our headquarters are on the
Île-aux-Coudres, which is situated just a half hour from Quebec city. We have
all the facilities you need for a great rally week-end. The rally will
begin on Friday, November 5, 1999 with registration and technical inspection.
The first stages of the rally will take place that evening. Saturday will be a
long and challenging day with a 8 a.m. start and an 11 p.m. finish. The
presentation of awards and the closing banquet is scheduled for Sunday morning. For the past ten
years, entries have varied from thirty to forty competitors. We are recognized
at both a national and a North American level as one of the premier events - a
must for all ralliests at some point in their careers. Why not make it this
year? We have
different challenging stages on both gravel and asphalt. The design of the
course changes every year and the transits to most of the different stages of
the courses are very short, the longest transit being approximately 35 miles. The area has a
lot of hotels, motels, inns and good restaurants to accommodate both competitors
and spectators. Make your reservations early because Charlevoix is a very busy
area on this special week-end. Last year we had
$10,000 in prize money and for 1999, we're hoping for $20,000 . For real
competition and great times, come to Charlevoix next fall, for the RALLYE AUTO
CHARLEVOIX EXPORT "A" 1999. "The
whole atmosphere, people, organizers makes this rally the best in North
America." Frank et Daniel SPRONGL
